We understand that this is a time of uncertainty, especially with ongoing questions about other federal food assistance programs like SNAP and WIC. These programs are vital to many of the students we serve, and we recognize the concern this may cause. To help during this time, we wanted to share where families and providers can access food if program access is disrupted:

Proper nutrition will make a difference in your child's health and their ability to concentrate on classroom studies. Because we want all students to enjoy the benefits of good nutrition, breakfast and lunch are available to all Mayfield Independent School students at no cost everyday.

School breakfasts and lunches adhere to federal nutritional guidelines and are designed to be appealing to students of all grade levels. Fresh fruits, vegetables, low-fat milk, and whole-grain breads are available daily. To encourage consumption of these nutritious, no-cost meals, parents are asked not to bring restaurant food for their children during mealtimes. While other nutritional items may be available for purchase, elementary students must receive their lunch before buying a la carte items.
